Drugs play an important role in human activities. We use a very good number of medicinally important organic compounds for the treatment of a number of diseases.Drugs play an important role in marketing as well as use of these compounds for the treatment. The antibiotics are used for the treatment of various diseases.Analysis of these drugs are essential in current years. Several methods are reported in literature for the determination of antibiotics are expensive, time consuming and are not useful for routine analysis. We developed simple, convenient, rapid and selective spectrophotometric methods for the determination of tetracyclines, cephalosporines and a few other drugs. In this research work, the author proposes to develop simple methods for the determination of drugs. Suitable conditions such as pH, effect of reagent concentrations and time are studied. The developed methods will be applied for the determination various drugs in pharmaceutical formulations.
