The book entitled "Spectroscopic analysis of polymers and oils" is structured in 3 chapters. Chapter one is entitled IR spectroscopy in which we included selection principles and rules, IR spectrometers, types of vibrations, factors that influence the characteristic group frequencies, structural assignments based on characteristic absorptions recorded in the IR spectra, structural assignments based on characteristic absorptions recorded in the IR spectra of hydrocarbons, structural assignments based on characteristic absorptions recorded in the IR spectra of the functional derivatives of hydrocarbons, structural assignments of compounds with known molecular formulas and examples of IR spectra. The second chapter presents spectrophotometric studies of vegetable oils and chapter 3 presents spectrophotometric studies polymers.
