SPECTROSCOPIC INVESTIGATION OF DITHIOCARBAMATES METAL COMPLEXES - BIOLOGICAL STUDIES Development of new class of present investigation thought worth while to synthesize new dithiocarbamate ligand by employing 2-amino-6-methyl pyridine. Further the author synthesizes a new series of metal complexes of Ni (II) and Zn (II) with newly developed dithiocarbamate ligand from 2-amino-6-methyl pyridine and CS2. These complexes were studied for the characterization by elemental analysis, IR, NMR, VSM, XRD, Conductivity measurements and TG-DTA analysis to determine the mode of binding and geometry. The present work has been extended to know antibacterial activity, antifungal activity for the ligands and their complexes.
