The theme of this monographic study is the analysis of the Council's speech act, taking into account the principle of courtesy in Russian and Spanish in comparative terms. The research was carried out from the point of view of studying the pragmatic aspect of speech communication in the context of the communicative-functional approach, the attention of which is directed at the dynamic beginning, namely at the activity of communication, carried out by a person in certain social conditions with certain goals. The actual material of the study was the works of Spanish, Latin American and Russian authors, video films and programs of Russian and Spanish television and radio. The results of the research can be used in the course of theoretical grammar, in special courses on pragmatics, as well as in practical classes on Russian and Spanish languages to form communicative competence in students.
