Akademische Arbeit aus dem Fachbereich Ingenieurwissenschaften - Maschinenbau, Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: This paper looks at the speed control of DC shunt motors. A DC machine is defined as a two-port device, where one port is an electrical side and the other port is a mechanical side. The mechanical side is a rotating domain. Therefore, it contains Potential Variable Voltage on the electrical port. On the other hand, it has torque on the mechanical port, similar kinetic variables with current on the electrical port, and omega (radian per second) on the mechanical port. The flowing of energy from the electrical domain to the mechanical domain is known as the DC Motor. However, when the opposite happens, that is flowing of energy from the mechanical domain to the electrical domain, the device is called a DC Generator. To understand the principle of DC Machines, Faradays' law of magnetism should be considered, this is because the energy indeed passes through 3 domains, where the 3rd domain is a Magnetic domain (field).

Autorenporträt
My name is Bandar Naji Ali Hezam, and I am from Yemen. Growing up, I was always interested in technology and how things worked. However, my parents did not have any background in engineering, so it was up to me to explore this interest on my own. After completing my secondary education in Yemen, I decided to pursue a degree in mechatronics engineering at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation. I was attracted to this field because it combines mechanical, electronic, and computer engineering, and I knew that it would provide me with a solid foundation in a wide range of technical skills. Studying at Asia Pacific University was an enriching experience. I met people from all over the world, and I was exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking. The program was challenging, but I enjoyed every moment of it. I learned about the principles of mechanics, electronics, and computing, and how they all come together to create complex systems. After graduating with my degree, I decided to pursue a Master's degree in Business Administration at University of Cyberjaya. I wanted to expand my knowledge beyond the technical aspects of engineering and learn more about business and management. The program was rigorous, but it gave me a deep understanding of finance, marketing, organizational behavior, and other important business topics. With my education and skills, I started my career as a mechatronics engineer. I have worked for several companies over the years, designing and developing complex systems for a variety of industries. I have always been passionate about my work, and I have enjoyed every project that I have worked on. In my free time, I like to read books and stay up-to-date with the latest developments in technology and engineering. I also like to travel and experience new cultures and ways of life. Looking back on my life so far, I am proud of what I have accomplished. As someone who did not have any background in engineering in my family, I am particularly proud of my achievements. I hope to continue to learn and grow as an engineer and as a person, and to make a positive impact in the world.
