John Amos "Spike" Jones (born July 9, 1947 in Louisville, Georgia) is a former American football punter who played eight years in the National Football League mainly for the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in Buffalo, New York. They are currently members of the East Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). They play their home games in the suburb of Orchard Park, and since the 2008 NFL season through the 2012 NFL season, play one home game per season and three pre-season games in Toronto as part of the 5-year Bills Toronto Series. The Bills began competitive play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League and joined the NFL as part of the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
