This book is based on Qingtian Zhang's PhD thesis, entitled "Spin-dependent quantum transport in graphene", which was submitted to the University of Science and Technology of China in 2013. It discusses a numerical study of the manipulation of electron spin in graphene with the help of exchange interaction induced by ferromagnetic proximity effect or spin orbit interaction (SOI). In this book, we proposed a method of generating spin currents in monolayer graphene through adiabatic quantum pumping, and we also investigated the spin polarized transport in monolayer graphene in the presence of Rashba spin orbit interaction.…mehr
