The present work is a first study, presented as a requirement for obtaining the degree in philosophy, and aims to promote the exposure of the idea of historical linearity presented by G. W. F. Hegel as a reflection of an ascending progress, resulting from a journey of the spirit that, according to the author, constitutes the reason that moves humanity. Through the exposition of what constitutes the author's philosophy, the paper intends to present, in a succinct way, the foundations on which the author supports his theory so that, armed with Hegelian logic, we can reflect on his theory and thus raise our own questions and conclusions.
