One of the concerns that emerges over the next 30 days is the sheer lack of concern for the Spirit that we find in much of the Western Church. We see the Spirit as more of an indicative than an imperative. We assume that we have received him, and so we have no concern for his absence in our lives. But the Scriptures are full of imperatives when it comes to the Spirit. We are exhorted to receive the Spirit, to be filled with the Spirit, to walk in the Spirit, to keep in step with the Spirit, and to be led by the Spirit. All of these imperatives require an intentional response. In this volume, we will complete our journey through the gospels (which focus mostly on Holy Spirit passages in Luke and John) and then begin to make our way through the book of Acts. The Acts passages will make up slightly more than half of this volume, and we will not even make it half way through the book of Acts. The work of the Holy Spirit is so powerfully at work there that Luke goes to great lengths to describe it in detail.Never before has there been such a need in the earth for the fullness of the Spirit as there is right now. Now is our time! It is the greatest time in history to be alive! God stands ready to move, if only we would stand ready to move with him. Are you ready? Let's go!
