This book reveals the basic spiritual essence found in human being, whether they are believers or non believers. The deeper level of spirituality that is transcendence has been found more among believers and helps them to believe strongly and connect with higher power. Non-believers live in the moment and enjoy their life, whereas believers, especially female believers are lower on their well-being, are they focusing more on the external factors of rituals rather than understanding and internalizing essence of them. The research reflect that Indian culture with its emphasis on eternal values, emphasis on intrinsic orientation and respect for all seems to inculcate spiritual orientation equally in its inhabitants barring religion. Although religious practice is a common path to express spirituality, It also seems that when religion is followed with its spiritual content and intrinsic values it broadens the horizon of humanity and sheds out the rigidity from the religion far behind. It leads the way to contribute to the welfare of others, whether informally in daily life, doing charities for needy or doing voluntary services for the upliftment of humanity, societies and nation.
