Matthias Sturmhain wurde 1983 in einer kleinen Stadt im Harz geboren und wuchs umgeben von dichten Wäldern und alten Sagen auf, die seine Fantasie früh beflügelten. Nach einer Ausbildung zum Schreiner und einigen Jahren als Reisender quer durch Europa ließ er sich in einer Großstadt nieder, wo er sich dem Schreiben widmete. Seine Geschichten, geprägt von düsteren Welten und zerrissenen Figuren, verbinden rohe Gewalt mit tiefgründigen Fragen nach Moral und Identität.Inspiriert von historischen Mythen, der Natur und seinen eigenen, erzählt Sturmhain von der Schönheit und den Schrecken des Unbekannten. Wenn er nicht schreibt, findet man ihn oft in abgelegenen Landschaften oder vertieft in alten Chroniken, auf der Suche nach dem nächsten Funken für seine Geschichten.
