Gary lives on the foothills of the Lancashire Pennines with his wife and two teenage sons, his eldest daughter having flown the nest after university. Following a 32 year career in the corporate world, he took the opportunity to take a year out and realise his dreams of writing his first book and launch a career as a published author. He was born in Manchester, spending his formative years growing up in Oldham throughout the 1970's and has strong family ties with Dublin. He is a keen runner, FA football coach and a community volunteer.
