Socially responsible investment have become more and more popular amount the financial community. Where and when were Socially Responsible Investments (SRI) created? What criteria should be taking into account to measure performance? Are they really more profitable than regular ones? Impact Investments seem to be a possible efficient way to fight against global warming, world hunger,... What are those investments? How do they perform? How can their non-financial performances be measured? After establishing an exhaustive list of SRI and a literature review, the author, through 2 cases and professional interviews tries to understand the existing biases and the difficulties of using impact investment to eradicate global poverty.
