Mary Brockway has been writing and publishing for thirty years and has conducted two writing critique groups for much of that time. Her book, Persimmon Bayou was published in 2010. She is married and has five children, eleven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Nursing school was the inspiration for St. Annie's Corps, and where she met her husband when he was a patient.
