Autorenporträt
Blaque Diamond graduated from Morgan State University School of Social Work, where she was an All American Collegiate Scholar, and earned her BSW and MSW degrees. She is the author of In My Mother's House and several children's books including She Named Me Stacey, A Temporary Home for Stacey, and the third in the series "Stacey F." In addition to writing children's books Diamond is an advocate for children waiting to be reunified with their biological families. She is also an Ambassador for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Diamond continues to provide training on parenting skills and created a mentoring program for young girls "The Miss Baltimore Diva Princess Pageant" a pageant where the focus is not beauty it's just you. Her work has been recognized by Howard County Executive Ken Ulman for Lifelong Literacy, Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake in American Literature, an Executive Citation with Kevin Kamenetz County Executive (2012), and with the African American Author's Expo's 5th Annual Book Award. Diamond lives in Maryland, with her children.
