Twenty years after the Civil War, Johnny Behan, one of Arizona's well-known lawmen, entices Josephine Marcus, a teenage Jewish immigrant girl, to move to the West with the promise of marriage. Although being bound together by the gleam of metal, Tombstone is torn by Confederates and Unionists, Lincoln Republicans and Democrats.
