Paula Sergi is the author of three previous chapbooks of poetry and co-editor of Boomer Girls, an anthology of poems by women from the baby boom generation (U of Iowa Press). She is co-editor of A Call to Nursing, (Kaplan) a collection of writing that explores what brought people to the field, what retains them, and the variety of areas nurses have pursued after leaving the profession. Meditations on Hope, (Kaplan) a second anthology of writing by nurses, gives voice to the ways nurses find the strength to meet the emotional challenges that the profession brings. She is well established in the nursing humanities movement, having produced many publications and presentations.
