Often all three facets of my existence converged into one. Mainly it was Starman that dominated my life during the late '80s and early '90s, and almost everything I did was intertwined with my passion for the show. Even the trip to New York would have been less memorable had I not met with Spotlight Starman folks. They treated me like royalty, not only in the Big Apple, but also in Washington, D.C. Winning a trip to New York was just one of those events that occurred in the span of a few years. A trip to Alaska along the Inland Passage via a ferry cannot be dicsounted. It was an adventure worthy of a book in itself. Driving to Ohio with a trunk full of cookbooks also had its ups and downs, to say the least. However, above and beyond everything I have experienced during that time the joy I received from our first Starman Celebration in San Diego in November 1987 cannot be topped. These are but a few of the extraordinary things described in the chapters that follow. Meeting celebrities was just a small part of it, but making dozens of new friends was a reward that was unexpected or even anticipated They have enriched my life in more ways than I can describe.
