This book is part of a research project that focused on the study of women entrepreneurship in the industrial sector. Following a review of the literature on women entrepreneurs, relevant indicators were used to draw a portrait of these women and their companies. This synoptic portrait makes it possible to better define the socio-demographic profile, the entrepreneurial behavior (psychological profile and motivations), the characteristics of the company, the managerial practices and the socio-cultural environment of women entrepreneurs in Morocco. The objective of this book is therefore to provide a gender-sensitive research framework to foster a holistic understanding of women entrepreneurship from a sectoral perspective. It thus aspires to better assess the state of female entrepreneurship as a whole and to guide various action plans that can improve the situation of women entrepreneurs in Morocco.
