Inclusion has evolved over the past few decades as both a pedagogical strategy as well as a political means to challenge exclusivary look for the history policies, laws and practices in the educational system of countries.Keeping in view recent initiatives on inclusive education, a comprehensive review was undertaken in this book to help in better understanding about the present status of education of children with special needs in elementary schools of India. This qualitative research was undertaken to find the status of implementation of the inclusive education, ascertain the challenges and problems faced by elementary schools in implementing the inclusive education. Recommendations for improvement of the inclusive education is also provided.
