In 1954, I was born into this world and named David Allen (Garmon) Jordan, Sr. I was born in Hayti, Missouri, the son of Willie C. Garmon and Almeda (Davis) Garmon. My father was a sharecropper and my mother worked chopping and picking cotton. Today, I am a grown God-fearing preacher who lives to preach and teach the Word of God. Over the years, Ive learned how to stand on Gods Word and listen to what He God is telling me in the Spirit. Through many ups and down, falls and failures, I have learned to stand on the promises of God, and to stay on the Potters Wheel. Its still a spiritual battle. I met my beautiful wife Carla in St. Louis, Missouri. We were married in 1993. Shortly thereafter, we moved to North Carolina where we resided for 11 years. Together, we have six beautiful children. My son, David Jr., was born weighing only 2 pounds 12 ounces. God began to use me to stand, not on what I knew, but on what He was doing in my life. My wife and I have had some hard times in our marriage, and if it were not for the hand of God moving in our lives and us staying on the Potters wheel, we wouldnt be together today. While we have gone through many ups and downs in our life, together, we have learned that we must stay on the Potters Wheel and Not Jump Off. God has made ways out of no ways for us, because we trust in Him! God blessed Carla and me with four beautiful daughters: Cosandra, LaTisha, Myra Alexandria, and Michala Grace, and two handsome sons; Joshua and David Jr. Each of them have been an inspiration and a blessing to me. We were made in the image of God and He wants the best for us. So, to understand our parts, we must read and study Gods Word and pray. I believe that God has directed me to write this book so that others may be helped by hearing my testimony on how God has brought us out. The main things to remember are to stay on the Potters Wheel and Not Jump Off!
