J.A. Hamilton's first Brick book, Body Rain, was nominated for the Pat Lowther Award (1992); her first book of fiction, July Nights and Other Stories, was runner-up for the VanCity Book Awards and short-listed for the B.C. Book Prize (1992). J.A. Hamilton lives in Vancouver.
