K. Cruz was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Puerto Rican parents, Raul and Maria. She currently resides in New Jersey with her husband, Luis and three fur babies, Gizmo, Penny, and Raven. Her hobbies include collecting Funko Pops, watching The Golden Girls, reading, watching fantasy shows / movies, and listening to music. Stella & Ray: A Nuyorican Love Story is her first novel.
