About the Author Francis O'Neill writes, in an investigative approach, about mind, body & spirit matters. He has spent over 40 years studying the spiritual and esoteric perspective on life. He currently has four books available: 1. Life and Death: Making Sense of It; 2. Steps to Health, Wealth and Inner Peace. 3. Love's Story of Why We Are Here. 4. Christmas Past. Others are in the pipeline. Some background on the writer As well as being a professional astrologer and before taking up a writing career he spent a much of his working life in archaeology and as a lecturer in adult education. He was born on the south coast of Ireland (County Waterford), but has spent most of his life in England. Raised as a Catholic, he later questioned his religion and became a fully-signed up existentialist by his late teens. He says that he would have continued on in his non-spiritual direction except for the occasional paranormal experience that made him question his then worldview. Also seeing UFOs, on more than two occasions (but two in particular), didn't help him to maintain the notion that everything, that didn't fit into his secular view of the world, could be explained away by science as nonsense. Reading a book by C. G. Jung provided him with a turning point in the direction of what he later came to believe. From that point on, he sought to understand life from a spiritual perspective. He writes, that, "In my studies I was still ploughing through books based upon materialistic thinking, but now I was also looking into all kinds of 'fringe' topics too." These topics included astrology, which he began a serious study of taking diplomas in it. He says that (spiritual) astrology has become the foundation stone for much of his understanding of how life actually works. Vocation Work-wise he spent a good chunk of his life in archaeology, supervising rescue excavations (mostly prehistoric or Roman) in the UK. Later he went into teaching, and ran his astrology practice alongside. He now writes book and articles on the philosophical and spiritual matters close to his heart. His books can be found in Smashwords, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Blackwell's, Powell's, Waterstones, Book Depository and others.
