Marshall Terrill, who spent three years compiling the information for this book, is a film, sports and music writer and the author of more than a dozen books, including best-selling biographies of Steve McQueen, Elvis Presley and Pete Maravich. Marshall Terrill is a veteran reporter for The Chandler (Ariz.) Connection and is the author of 10 books, including the best-selling Steve McQueen: Portrait of an American Rebel. He co-authored Maravich, a biography on the life of basketball legend Pistol Pete Maravich with Wayne Federman in 2006. His book Elvis: Still Taking Care of Business was written with Elvis Presley bodyguard Sonny West and was published in 2007. Terrill resides in Tempe, Arizona with wife, Zoe.Barbara Minty McQueen was born in Seattle, Washington, and spent her formative years growing up in Corvallis, Oregon. Upon her high school graduation in 1971, she entered the world of fashion, become one of the highest paid and most photographed models of her time. Movie icon Steve McQueen saw Barbara's photograph in an advertisement and arranged a meeting with her in July 1977. A few years later they married, and she was by his side till his death. These photographs document their three-and-a-half year relationship, chronicles Barbara's early history and modeling career as well as candid shots of Steve McQueen from 1977 to 1980 - McQueen's years in and out of the spotlight. The book, written in passage form, includes hundreds of photos and stories behind the scenes of the images she took. In 2007, Barbara began hosting art exhibits of her work with shows in London, Liverpool, Tokyo, San Francisco, Nashville, Phoenix and Idaho, where she resides. Marshall Terrill is a veteran film, sports and music writer as well as an author, editor and public relations consultant. He has written 15 books, including best-sellers on Steve McQueen, Elvis Presley and Pete Maravich. Three of Terrill's books have been optioned as feature films and are in various stages of development. Terrill resides in Tempe, Arizona, with his wife Zoe.
