I was born and raised in North Carolina. I am the youngest of ten kids. I can remember from a very young age my mom telling stories to us. That is where I guess I got my storytelling from. I started writing when I was in high school, and this continued through adulthood. When my niece asked me why there were no fairy tales of people of color, so we made some. This is the first story I wrote where the people are black. Thank you for reading.
