Higher level of stigma were related to lower quality of life that is their low education level, unemployment status, and younger age of illness onset. The provision of accurate information through trusted community sources and open dialogue will help to dispel myths, correct faulty assumption and increase involvement of participation of community in drag out the root source of stigma in rural population. Effective anti-stigma intervention should address two targets: improving attitudes and condition for social integration in the community and empowering patients with schizophrenia to challenge self stigmatization and discriminatory behaviour towards them.
