Sereniti Hall was born Dorothy Hall and raised in Augusta, Georgia. In 2004 she was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison. While in Marianna Federal Prison Camp, Sereniti began writing her first novel Feenin'. Feenin' was chosen on the Library Journal's top ten list for Street lit. Sereniti grew up on the streets of James Brown Boulevard and 9th street in her home town, which was known as the hood. She has two daughters, Rockell and Cleopatra and still resides in her hometown Augusta, Georgia. She was just released from prison and she's currently working on her next novel.
