Danielle Lee is a student at Biotechnology High School in New Jersey, USA. She shows passion in environmental and animal rights, as well as writing and science research. Her work has won an award in the Scholastics Art and Writing contest and has also been featured in a literary magazine. Additionally, she is a member of the Junior Academy for the New York Academy of Sciences and the New Jersey Academy of Science, as well as a writer for Curious Science Writers. Still Waiting is her first published book, written at age 15. She wrote this book to spread awareness about climate change for young readers, as she considers it vital to educate children about important world issues at an early age. In this book, she emphasizes the causes and effects of climate change, while also leaving a long-lasting imprint on kids' hearts. One month after publishing Still Waiting, over five school districts have already incorporated her book into their curriculum, impacting more than 1500 children. Danielle Lee has been visiting school classrooms and local libraries to read this book with children and talk about environment. She hopes to continue writing and plans to publish additional books in the future.
