Poems to feel and to heal, from a life beginning unwanted and alone, convinced it's a crime for which to atone.Waiting for another person to make things right, but before dawn will always precede deepest darkest night.Ultimately finding that my salvation was me, and that thought set me free.Stillborn explores different sides of grief - some ugly and petty, some graceful and empowering. It's about the journey of learning to live with it, to find healing and peace.A recommended read for people burdened by childhood abandonment and trauma.

Autorenporträt
Sophie Lurssen lives in an apartment that she shares with about thirty tiny succulent plants, in the cosy artist's quarter of Hansestadt Bremen, where people seem to never sleep and lots of things are cheerfully queer and quaint. Her forename is actually Sophie but she wants you to know Lurssen is a nice-looking spelling of her favourite grandfather's surname, whom she wasn't blood related to, because she believes that we choose our family. When she isn't writing brilliant books, she spends her evenings working at a restaurant, mostly because she can eat there for free.
