About the Author.... After many years of teaching elementary children, Shelba Oberto began pursuing her dream of writing for children. Through her books, she hopes to inspire children to experience the joys of reading and learning. Shelba is the author of ROADTRIP: DISCOVERING WEIRD AND WONDERFUL PLACES, a fun, informative children's travelogue about the fifty states. About the Illustrator.... Najah Clemmons resides just outside of Charleston, South Carolina, with her husband, two daughters and their two dogs, where she enjoys beach walks and southern air. She has illustrated a variety of children's books over the past 14 years and is also the co-owner of 'Sugar Pea Studios' design company with her husband. Najah Clemmons says, "Even as a child, I loved to draw. Now I feel blessed that I get to do what I love most."
