Mathematics does not explain the natural behaviour of an object, it simply describes it. This description however is so much effective, so that an elementary mathematical equation can describe simply and clearly a relation, that in order to be expressed with words could need entire pages. During the last two decades (1991-2011) we have worked in creating mathematical (stochastic and fuzzy) models for the better description and understanding of several processes appearing in the areas of Mathematical Education, Artificial Intelligence (Case-Based Reasoning) and Management. The present monograph contains the main topics of this research.
