Autorenporträt
Derrick started this passion project in the mid 2000's. He interviewed a countless number of people and heard stories of what they had experienced. How their lives were altered through sexual assault and how they learned to forgive themselves to heal and get past the pain to begin to live life again and not just exist. This subject is close to the author because he has loved ones who have been traumatized through sexual assault. His hope is to bring awareness to a subject that no one wants to talk about. Now we need to talk about it. Now we need to make the changes. Now is when we need to act!
