Mae Edwards grew up in Houston, Texas. She was number six of seven children. Her faith sustained her through many hardships that would have caused many others to give up. She never met a stranger or let negativity around her keep her down. Her family was split up at age three. This is the story of how her faith helped her to cope with what life dealt her: a series of nightmarish events that would have kept an otherwise weak person down. It is also a story of true love for Christ as well as her husband and family.

Autorenporträt
Mae Edwards, was born Mabelle Juanita Hague in Wichita, Kansas. She is number six of seven children, who were separated when she was three. Mae grew up in Houston, Texas, while in foster care through the DePelchin Faith Home (now the DePelchin Children's Center). "Stolen Options" is the story of how she survived the constant moving around from home to home, the Air Force, an abusive husband, and beyond. Upon surviving some of the toughest years in an unhealthy marriage, Mae later got remarried, this time to her high school sweetheart. She is now a part of a very loving and successful marriage. She currently resides in Waller, Texas, and enjoys riding her motorcycle with her husband, hiking in the mountains, target shooting, traveling, photography, making jewelry, and ceramics. She also enjoys collecting Barbie's, antique souvenir spoons, coins, stamps, and old cameras. Mae is the proud business owner of Personalize Photo, (her first love of the arts), Trimsandmore, (specializing in products that will help improve septic systems in municipalities and personal systems), and Mary Kay. Being a vet herself, she stands in support of the Wounded Warrior's non-profit organization. She has two children, and two biological grandchildren; but by marriage have an additional five grandchildren and five great-grand-children. She strongly believes that all things are possible through God and Faith; as she knows that He has a plan for us all. Despite all that she has been through, she feels that writing has been a way of healing her soul. Mae decided to share her story, in hopes to help others see that horrible deeds done to oneself by others, does not have to determine your future or the path you decide to take in life.
