Jane Snipes has worked as a recruiter for three decades. In 2001, she founded Northstar Recruiting, a firm specializing in biometric technology, identity management, and physical access control. When recruiting slowed during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, she had time to cull through decades of recruiting stories. After wading through thousands of notes, she published Surviving the Job Search, a field guide for job seekers to navigate the entire search process. On each page, she included a story from the trenches, and readers loved them so much that she compiled everything from her book plus much more into a brand-new book, aptly named Stories from the Trenches.She runs Northstar Recruiting full-time and writes when she can.
