Autorenporträt
Peninnah Schram, an internationally known storyteller, author, and recording artist, is professor of speech and drama at Yeshiva University's Stern College and Azrieli Graduate School. As a storyteller, she is known for her elegant and dynamic way of telling stories. Her books include Jewish Stories One Generation Tells Another and Tales of Elijah the Prophet. She has recorded six folktales on the CD The Minstrel and the Storyteller: Stories and Songs of the Jewish People, performed with singer/guitarist Gerard Edery. She is a recipient of the prestigious Covenant Award for Outstanding Jewish Educators from The Covenant Foundation and The Circle of Excellence Award from the National Storytelling Network. She lives in New York City.
