Carole Jerome is a Canadian journalist and author who covered national and international news stories for CBC TV and other global media for several decades. In 2021 she fell in love with sloths, whle living on her farm next to the jungle in Costa Rica, and promised the little boy who lived down the lane, Oscar, that she would write a book about a sloth named Oscar. The result is Stowaway Sloth, a story for all children of the world.
