Autorenporträt
The Lingering Trilogy is set in familiar territory for Vivian Ward Crump. The stories take place in her hometown of Salyersville, Kentucky, which is located at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Vivian grew up on a farm similar to the one she describes in both Lingering Soul of the House and Stranger Neighbor. The paranormal events in the story are happenings that were reportedly true of her grandmother's house. The family home is still occupied by relatives in Eastern Kentucky and she remains fearful of being alone in the house even after all these years. These days you will find Vivian living in Shelbyville, Kentucky with her family and until recently, her dog, Shelby. Unfortunately, Shelby passed away this year leaving an empty space in Vivian's heart. She is sorely missed. Vivian is busy writing the last book of the Lingering Trilogy. Her goal is to have it ready for readers by the fall of 2017.
