This book describes strategic and security challenges to India s national security, and critically examines strategic and security related policies of government in the context of ideas and policies of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on the strategic and security matters of India. The study had been carried out with the comprehensive national security approach with considering global and national security environment. India is a plurastic society where religious, regional, sectarian and linguistic identities intermix with social and political identities. The question of national security is discussed in very narrow confines of foreign policy and military power equations. The aspects of human security or social development needs have been left to the society to meet and its voice is not heard in various for a discussing the security-related issues. It also assess the impact of domestic problems on the national security and critically examines the thoughts of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar on the subject matter hold relevance if we have to take a holistic view of the problems of our national security and to provide pragmatic policy options.
