Produktbeschreibung
This book analyzes some relevant issues in the internationalization process of small and medium- sized enterprises in the agrifood industry, presenting the results of two different research projects. The focus is on inter-organizational network relations that enhance the internationalization of smaller firms. Both downstream (from the market standpoint) and upstream relations (i.e. with suppliers and partners) are explored. The author deals with issues that are key in the international management and international strategy stream of research and contributes to fill a literature gap. Very interesting is the intersection among three streams of research: internationalization processes, development of small and medium-sized enterprises and agrifood business strategies. The result is an innovative work that is relevant from the theory perspective, but also reveals significant perspectives for its managerial and policy implications.
