Over the last few years, use and importance of strategic thinking in small and medium enterprises (SMEs) has increased exponentially. However, yet little research has been carried out concerning strategic planning and entrepreneurship in SMEs. This book therefore provides a new insight and conceptual framework to investigate strategy and performance in entrepreneurial firms. It discusses the key concepts in strategic planning and entrepreneurship literature focusing on the key tools and performance of UK entrepreneurial firms. It offers a novel discussion on the critical role played by strategic thinkers in SMEs sector. A deductive quantitative research approach was taken through the use of survey research design.
