The result of a 6-month internship at the Union nationale des Centres de Plein Air, one of the leaders in the sports vacation market, this thesis analyzed the development of tourist sites. As a preliminary phase of the development strategy, the study establishes a typology of the different tourist sites in order to better understand their origins and their evolutionary trends. Using the example of the La Dune Bleue campsite, a tourist structure on the Bombannes estate in Carcans, managed by UCPA, the work looks at a rigorous methodology to promote sustainable expansion and positive growth of a tourist establishment, while taking into account the specificities of the local context (competitive offer, outdoor hotel market, etc.). Faced with the emergence of the notion of customer satisfaction, various tools will be presented to perpetuate the development and optimize the performance of a structure over the long term.
