Compelling evidence signified persistence challenges of project managers regarding project failures in Ghana. Lack of proper alignment of business strategies contributed largely to project failures. A major concern of project managers in Ghana was that the non-alignment of business strategies and project management processes lead to project delays and cost overruns. Critical analysis of the textual data and the cross-case synthesis analysis yielded seven conceptual themes. The themes were (a) good project management, (b) provide training, (c) provision of incentive, (d) funding, (e) regular site inspection, (f) use of technology, and (g) involving technology. The study was important because it investigated how misalignment of business strategies and project management processes could affect project delays and cost overruns. The outcome contributed to the original knowledge of the theoretical literature on how the non-alignment of business strategies and project management processes affected project delay and cost overrun in Ghana.
