Successful economies are dependent on successful industries. This book explores how business success could be improved by looking at three global industries, namely the motorcar, high-technology (IT)and food manufacturing industries. These industries are vital to growing the economies of countries. The book asserts that the high performance model offered by P. Kotler can be applied to improve the business success (increased sales growth and CRM effectiveness) of these industries. The study therefore explores the influence of process variables (launching strategies), resources management (the management of labour, materials, machines, IT and energy) and organisational variables (TQM and the organisational culture) on business success of the firms that constitute these industries. The study made a significant contribution towards identifying a theoretical model to improve the business success of the motorcar, high-technology (IT) and food manufacturing industries. The study showed that various combinations of product launching strategies as well as organisational variables are important ingredients to achieve increased sales growth and CRM effectiveness.
