The following work titled: "Strategy for the teaching of the Spanish language in the first cycle of the primary level" has as general objective to design a strategy to favor the process of teaching-learning of the Spanish Language in the First Cycle of the Maria de la Paz School. The study was developed with the population of teachers and students having the contextual, theoretical and conceptual foundations in the framework of the current discussions on the teaching of the Spanish language and the vision of the students and teachers on the subject under study was known. The study was developed with a population of 95 students, six teachers who are members of the management team and teachers who teach at the school, the study was descriptive and qualitative in nature. A strategy aimed at trying to eliminate some of the existing problems with respect to the teaching of the Spanish language is proposed.
