After school in Hertfordshire (just North of London in England), Huw Morris spent 3 years at Physical Education College where a primary interest was coaching Gymnastics and organising International Competitions. He attended the International Olympic Academy in Olympia in 1976 and the World Student Games in Sofia in 1977. From 1977 to 1993 he served as a Royal Air Force Officer in the United Kingdom, Germany and the United States. Initial appointments in Finance and Human Resources were followed by a number of generalist roles that included Aide de Camp for a Commander-in-Chief and the RAF New Management Strategy Team in the Ministry of Defence. While in the latter role he conducted research into culture change for a dissertation. Huw graduated with an MBA from Henley Business School in 1993 and after a period of Business School teaching he joined Andersen Consulting in 1996. His appointments included Quality Management, Practice Strategy and Global Industry Programmes for Food & Consumer Goods, Chemicals and Utilities. Following Andersen Consulting becoming Accenture and a Public Company he served as Director of Operations for the Resources Industry Group and as Chief Technology Officer for Accenture's Swiss based Intellectual property company. In 2007 Huw joined the then LECG - a NASDAQ listed Finance and Economics Consultancy. He served as European Chief of Staff until FTI Consulting acquired the European assets of the company in 2011. After a period as European Director of HR for FTI Consulting he founded Efficienarta to focus on Executive Development and Corporate Governance Consulting. Huw qualified as a Chartered Director in 2010. Huw Morris lives in Surrey in England and is married with two boys - aged 22 and 18. His interests include skiing, sailing and mountain biking.
