Autorenporträt
Maureen E. Wise has worked in the fields of environment or sustainability for her entire career. She worked in stream restoration, helping fish return to streams polluted by acid mine drainage. Maureen also worked at two institutions of higher education to help them become greener places to learn, live, work, and play. She's taught sustainability classes at the college level and is currently employed as a sustainability consultant. She sits on the board of an arts and sustainability nonprofit, Upcycle Parts Shop, and formerly was on the board of a watershed partnership. Her family has solar panels on their roof, and she is an obsessive home composter. Maureen is happiest on a trail, in a kayak, or curled up with a book. She lives in a Cleveland suburb with her husband, middle-grade son, and three cats. Maureen also writes eco-themed cozy mysteries and other novels under the pen name Iris March.
