Autorenporträt
Laurence Carr is a Hudson Valley writer of poetry, fiction and plays. His novel, Pancake Hollow Primer, won a Next Generation Indie Book Award. With Codhill Press, he edited Riverine and co-edited (with Jan Zlotnik Schmidt) A Slant of Light: Contemporary Women Writers of the Hudson Valley (USA Best Book Award for Anthology), Poetry collections include Paradise Loft (CAPS Press/Lightwoodpress), The Wytheport Tales and Threnodies: poems in remembrance. Over two dozen theatre works have been produced in NYC, throughout the U.S and in Europe. He collaborated with abstract artist Power Boothe on Traverse, an experimental book of art and text. His writing has appeared in numerous publications. Laurence is the publisher of Lightwood, an online magazine (Lightwoodpress.com). He is a graduate of Ohio University and New York University and taught Dramatic and Creative Writing at SUNY, New Paltz. www.carrwriter.com
