The STAR (Supernatural Tactical and Reconnaissance) Order is the best group of mercenaries this world holds as well as the Council's best defense against the world slipping back into the dark ages. If there are witches eating children in candy cottages, big bad wolves tracking down little reds, vampires warlords taking war prizes of any kind, demons writing contracts to steal souls, and humans stock piling nuclear armaments like they were beanie babies, the Council sends in the Star Order. If a person is alone, without ties to much of anything, and damned good at their field, they will be approached and recruited and trained.
