Stroke Recovery: A No-Brainer gives the survivor's perspective from a deep stroke through which she was not expecting to live. Autorenporträt
Kathryn Huddleston has over 38 years of leadership training and university teaching experiences. After a few years of college teaching she concluded that colleges weren't preparing students for "after college" work. So she began a small business (KH) to focus on writing and other communication skills. Soon she led major companies and government agencies move from bureaucratic organizations to customer-focused, lean, structures. She conducted customized leadership training for the Department of Defense throughout the US and in Camp Zama, Japan. Kathryn was a manager of Quality for the SE US plants for Square -Groupe Schneider. Her writings focused on continuous improvement, including Back on the Quality Track, published by AMACOM, which surfaced top managers, CEOs, and front line members from her own clients. Ultimately, Dr. Huddleston drew down her business to care for her father, afflicted with the Alzheimer's disease. There's a Storm Coming, published by Thomas Nelson, is about the journey her father and she navigated. After his death, she continued to foster partnerships between private engineering and construction firms and government agencies. She holds the Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University. A life-long advocate for the disadvantaged, her major challenge when the deep stroke hit was how she would be able to help others with her right side paralyzed. Her prayer is that this book would help those with similar traumas and care givers understand each other.
